As an affiliated organization of the University of Arizona Office of University Research Parks, we share these guiding principles:
- Strengthen and enhance the educational, research and outreach mission of the University of Arizona.
- Contribute to the discovery and development of new technologies.
Assist in the development and growth of high technology and biotechnology companies.
- Contribute to the economic development of the community and state.
These beliefs drive our work and provide the foundation for our
program:
- Innovation is a process. It begins with an idea and moves through a series of stages that can lead to successful commercialization. We call this the Innovation Continuum.
- Having a great idea is important, but it doesn’t ensure success. Entrepreneurs need specific knowledge, skills, and support at each stage of the innovation process to turn their ideas into successful companies.
- Innovation rarely takes place in a vacuum. Entrepreneurs thrive in an environment where they can learn, share, and connect with others who have similar experiences and interests.
- Growing successful companies benefits us all. They bring new technologies to market, create jobs, and add to the vitality and diversity of the community.
