Problem – Solution – Customer

Rick Gibson on understanding and identifying the problem, your solution, and your first customers

Introduction

Problem. Solution. Customer. Together they form a loop that requires constant review and validation when bringing a new product or service to market. It's important to understand the problem you are trying to solve, and how you will solve it better (your value proposition). Use this to build your first customer relationships; engage them early in discussion, product testing, and get their buy-in and support. Their enthusiasm and testimonials will have a powerful impact on your first sales.

This video session discusses the problem-solution-customer loop and provides recommendations and tips on how to validate your problem and solution, and engage your first customers. In the interactive workshops, participants will help each other to create a simple problem and solution statement and provide a safe and confidential forum for practice.
